  1. An interesting game was had last night against Wired.  We again had a good mix of players who rarely get the chance to play together in a “proper” game.   Despite there being only one core shooter amongst us and our play being a little scrappy at times (just one man’s opinion), we came out on top with our first win.  A pretty good result – am banking on a few more of those :) . . .

  2. Everyone put their heart and soul into our game against TJs last night.  Despite the opposing team having players from much higher divisions (well to be honest nearly every opposition is from a higher division), the game was an all round success . . . apart from us loosing!  The mix of both Olveston teams played out really well, with some great moves in both Ds and some jolly good centre court play.  Jane was well pleased with a small token of flowers for her birthday - taking them back to a house which already looked like a florists ;).  We all left on a pretty good high, but really felt for Julie who sustained a knee injury after an awkward landing.  All are hoping she will be back up to full speed soon.

  3. The Avon Netball AGM took place this month and proved to be a bit of a milestone for one of our players.  Sarah Riggs was voted “player’s player” for the whole of division 11, and was called to the front to accept the prestigious award.  A huge achievement for her personally, and for the club – it’s just great to have a member who holds that title.  Well deserved Sarah – you so worked hard for it!
