1. Seconds Finish in Style

   So . . . the end of the 2013/14 Avon Netball League season finishes for the seconds with a terrific fight against PSL Panthers.  There was an undeniable show of unity amongst the team, who played a beautifully cohesive, yet fiery game.  Unfortunately Belinda was forced to remove herself from the game with an ankle injury, but managed to make a great contribution during her time on the court – a quick recovery to you B!  Supporters shouting encouragement were rewarded with a game well worth watching.  In true ONC tradition, a round up in a local inn afterwards followed.  Now let the end of season club celebrations commence!

   

2. Firsts Last Match of the Season

   It was an impressive end to the season for the firsts yesterday.  The last match culminated in a dynamic and convincing win against Elevation, with ONC leading in all quarters. The final score line of 47 v 34, reflected the great teamwork shown between all of the players.  The win was celebrated traditionally in the pub afterwards, with many players continuing the celebration into the afternoon - and well beyond! A superb way to end the season! :D

   

3. Spring in the Air

   There's spring in the air and spring in our stepsl! The first team have had a string of wins, most recently against Bradley Stoke 5 resulting in a fantastic high score of 43 to 15. The seconds have had the edge in their three most recent games and have come away the jubilant victors.  Keep it coming ONC!

4. This weeks results

   A highly motivated and focussed team this week meant the firsts came back with a fantastic win, where everything just fell into place nicely.  The seconds had a narrow loss, with just two goals in it - we do all know you will be back up there next time!  Onwards and upwards . . . 

5. Last Games of 2013

   A fantastic end to the year was had by the first team.  After being 2 goals down in the first quarter to Elevation, players put everything they had into the game and turned it around to finish 13 ahead. Well thought out movements and inspirational play all round left the team feeling on a high, the celebration in the local inn afterwards wasn't too bad either. The seconds fought a hard and very controlled game, but were denied victory against a Airboune 3. Despite the loose, team spirit was high and are looking forward to their next match in 2014!
