  1.  Netfest 2014

The Commonwealth themed, well attended Netfest took place yesterday.  The Netfest squad faced a scorcher of a day so slapped on plenty of suncream and took on fluid in abundance.  Barbados colours were worn, with a gazebo to match decked in their national flag and co-ordinated ribbons.  A fun day was had with all monies raised going towards The British Heart Foundation, and an operation aimed at improving the quality of life for Jaye Cook, a Kingswood boy, who has Cerebral Palsy - two great causes.  Many thanks go to Avon Netball for organising the event – a great success :)

  2. The club had a fine turn out for our offcial end of season celebration last night, where our meticulously groomed gaggle hit a vibrant, upmarket wine bar.  There was much laughter and jollity which continued on well into the early hours.  The nearby nightclub had never seen so many dancing queens, with the dance floor awash with moves never before seen by any choreographer on this earth.  A sight to behold indeed!  Although a little raucous at times the evening ended in relative calm with a soggy bag of chips and a dab of tomato sauce from a nearby van - an almost perfect end to an all round fabulous evening!

  3. So . . . the end of the 2013/14 Avon Netball League season finishes for the seconds with a terrific fight against PSL Panthers.  There was an undeniable show of unity amongst the team, who played a beautifully cohesive, yet fiery game.  Unfortunately Belinda was forced to remove herself from the game with an ankle injury, but managed to make a great contribution during her time on the court – a quick recovery to you B!  Supporters shouting encouragement were rewarded with a game well worth watching.  In true ONC tradition, a round up in a local inn afterwards followed.  Now let the end of season club celebrations commence!
